Course Description
This section will focus on how to structure and operate your business. How to organize and register your business in Canada, operating practices, organizational structure and future planning. Manufacturing and production processes will be reviewed as will quality and inventory management. Aspects of distribution, wholesale and retail as well as online will be discussed.

This section will cover pricing by identifying fixed and variable costs. Break-even analysis will include concepts of cost of goods, overheads, and profit. Pricing strategy will be examined to maximize opportunity in new and emerging markets.

Course Description

Please bring a notepad and pen. A business plan template will be provided at the beginning of the workshop series. Please note, there is no late admittance once the workshop is in session.

Richard’s industry experience includes, Financial Services, Retailing & Franchising, Professional Services, Software Development and Consulting. Richard has been coaching the business planning and sales processes throughout his career and brings a wealth of first-hand experience to both seasoned professionals and new entrepreneurs.
As a former Commercial Lender and Small Business Banker Richard has assisted countless entrepreneurs with funding requests for both new business ventures and established enterprises. Richard has also launched new businesses from start-up, and can provide young entrepreneurs with guidance through all the steps of starting their own business.
Richard has a BA (Honours) and MBA, from Queen's University.
