As we informed earlier this month, the
Toronto Premium Outlets, GTA's new luxury-for-less destination, opened its doors to the public on August 1. After my unsucessful attempt to attend the grand opening (read: spending 2 hours to get there just to find no parking spots available), I decided to get it another shot earlier today. Understandably, the traffic issues were gone but finding a convenient parking space still remains an issue.
The store themselves offer some excellent discounts although inventory in some of the most sought-after stores like
adidas and
Nike leaves a lot to be desired. The stores are small and the choice of styles extremely limited. If you, like me, are a tennis player, don't count on finding any tennis apparel in any of the aforementioned stores (unless you count one style of Barricades - team version - from a number of seasons back). Disappointing for a store with huge Andy Murray and Caroline Wozniacki banners over the shoe section.
The more upscale stores, like
Coach and
Michael Kors, practice crowd control which results in lineups outside the stores, one of the reasons I didn't pay them a visit today. Planning on comming back on a weekday and hopefully avoiding the lines.
The Hudson's Bay Outlet offers an excellent selection of styles for both men and women at low prices offering deep discounts (look out for the colour stickers) but finding your size might require a bit of work and patience. But there were some nice pieces available so a visit to this store while visiting the Ourtlets is definitely a must.
For shoppers with a sweet tooth, there's the
Lindt Chocolate Outlet Store. For beauty lovers, the
Body Shop Outlet with discounts up to 40% (this store's a favourite of mine).
Here are a few visuals. More after the jump.

Glad I found your post! I had all intentions of going but thought it might just be another Heartland Town Center (Mississauga) or Trinity Common (Brampton), so I always put it off. With all the pictures you posted I'm glad to see it actually looks a lot more like the outlets in the States. I'll definitely want to check this place out now!
